Category Description
Program mission This program strengthens the translation skills and network of domestic and international Korean literature translators.
Eligibility

A Korean literature translator who meets at least one of the following conditions:

1. Domestic and international translators with 1 to 5 published Korean literature translations

2. Domestic and international award-winning Korean literature translators

  • Preference will be given to those who have no prior experience with similar programs such as translator residencies.
Quota Approximately 6 people
Duration Two weeks between July and August
Supported programs

Overseas residenta: round-trip airfare (economy class, reimbursed), meal allowance (fixed rate), and accommodation support.

Domestic translators (excluding Seoul): long-distance transportation costs, meal allowance (fixed rate), and accommodation support.

  • Any costs outside of the provided support, such as visa issuance and travel insurance, are the participant's responsibility.
  • Meal and accommodation expenses will be covered before the program starts, and round-trip airfare will be reimbursed after the submission of the final report.
  • Accommodation, meals, and transportation are not supported for residents of Seoul.

  • Selected candidates must sign a completion agreement and submit a final report after completion.
  • If the participant commits an illegal act or acts against social norms in a way that creates public unrest, program participation may be suspended, and the support funds may be reclaimed.
