Translation Experience Program for Graduates - An Overview

Selection Scale | Approximately 4 people per language for a total of about 30 people |
Remarks | Approximately 2 reserve candidates will be selected per language grou (such candidates will be contacted individually about selection status and further scheduling). |
- Funding is availible for only one work per mentee.
- Participants can re-apply up to 3 times, but should submit a translation of a different work each time.
- If another participant has already applied for the same work, another work can be selected.
- In this program, the editor from the overseas publisher will not revise the translated manuscript but will give suggestions and guidance for evaluation and revision.
- Rights to the manuscripts translated through the program belong to the translator, and graduates are eligible to apply for other translation and publishing support projects, including those by the Korean Literature Translation Institute.
- If a manuscript is not submitted or if the manuscript submitted is significantly insufficient in length, or if any disqualifying issues arise after the application, participation in the next session of this project may be restricted.
- After selection, candidates will be contacted on an individual basis for further instructions.
