The Literature Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea) invites Korean literature translators to apply for fully-funded international programs designed to enhance translation skills, build professional networks, and advance careers in literary translation.
Programs Currently Accepting Applications:
1. LTI Korea x NCW Translator Residency 2026
National Centre for Writing, Norwich, United Kingdom
Program Dates: July 6–August 1, 2026
Location: Dragon Hall, Norwich UNESCO City of Literature
Application Deadline: Monday, March 20, 2026 at 23:59 GMT
LTI Korea Funding Support:
LTI Korea covers the full cost of this four-week residency program for 1 translator, including:
- International airfare
- Accommodation at Dragon Hall cottage (city-center campus)
- All program fees and costs
Program Highlights:
Organized and run by the National Centre for Writing, participants will receive:
- Dedicated time and space in tranquil surroundings of Norwich UNESCO City of Literature
- UK-based mentor (experienced literary translator) provides peer feedback and career advice
- Introduction to local writers and translators through Dragon Hall Social (monthly literary networking event)
- Attendance at plenary sessions of BCLT Summer School (online)

2. LTI Korea x BCLT Summer School 2026

LTI Korea provides full bursaries (£375 per person) covering complete tuition costs for 10 translators—zero cost to participants.

All programs are open to translators of Korean literature. Translation Academy students and alumni are especially encouraged to apply.
